2022 SEASON KICK-OFF!
It’s finally here!!! This weekend officially kicks off the Block Island summer season and we couldn’t be more excited. This blog post will get you up to speed on all the current ferry and island happenings. We can’t wait to see you in 2022!
WELCOME ABOARD
Hi Speed is back! Rejoining our Traditional ferry, Hi Speed ferries out of Pt Judith begin on May 26. Our Newport ferries start their runs on June 25. Sail away to Block Island… faster!
Please note that, as of April 19, passengers and crew are no longer required to wear a face mask inside or outside on the Block Island Ferry. However, the practice of social distancing is suggested and appreciated. Be sure to check our website for any COVID-19 related updates.

Want a chance to score some tickets? Our seasonal contests start back up in the first week of June! #BIFphotoFriday begins Friday, June 3 and runs through Friday, October 7. Our fans from Instagram and Facebook get a chance to share their favorite photos of the ferry and Block Island for an opportunity to win tickets for the traditional ferry! Be sure to check out our social channels and website for the weekly topics.
On Tuesdays, we post #BIFTriviaTuesday questions on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. See if you’ve got the smarts to figure out some Block Island trivia! On occasion, we may even offer ferry tickets as a prize for the first correct answer on Twitter and Facebook (sorry, Instagram).
